Join our dynamic in-house dental laboratory team as a Dental Lab Technician, where your expertise will directly contribute to transforming patient smiles! In this vital role, you'll craft high-quality dental prostheses and restorations, ensuring precision, durability, and aesthetic excellence. Your skills in digital design, laboratory techniques, and prosthodontics will help deliver outstanding results for our patients. This position will be responsible for performing daily laboratory duties and helping create high-quality dental appliances or orthodontic work.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and finish dental prostheses including dentures, crowns, bridges, and implant restorations with meticulous attention to detail.
- Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software for digital modeling and fabrication of prosthetic components.
- Prepare dental models and casts, ensuring accuracy for precise prosthetic fitting.
- Collaborate closely with dentists and clinical staff to interpret treatment plans and ensure seamless integration of lab work into patient care.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and adhere to OSHA standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate and troubleshoot various dental equipment such as milling machines, sintering ovens, and polishing tools.
- Ensure timely completion of all lab projects while maintaining high quality standards and documentation accuracy.
Requirements
- Proven laboratory experience in dental fabrication, including removable prosthodontics, full arch restorations, and implant prosthodontics.
- Proficiency with digital design tools such as CAD software and experience with CAM systems for custom prosthetic fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and laboratory techniques related to ceramics, ceramics finishing, and dental materials.
- Familiarity with medical imaging, EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, HIPAA compliance, and medical documentation practices.
- Ability to interpret dental prescriptions accurately and communicate effectively with clinical teams.
- Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools such as micrometers for quality control.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures specific to dental laboratories and clinical settings.
- Excellent understanding of implantology procedures, complete denture fabrication, removable prosthodontics, and anatomy principles.
- Ability to assess patient needs through collaboration with dental professionals while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
