Compensation
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States is $87,758 - $116,285.18. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.
Join Our Team as a Senior Learning Specialist!
The Talent Enablement department is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining S&C’s global talent management ecosystem designed to facilitate organizational, professional, and career development in support of S&C's strategic objectives and competitive advantage in the market.
The Senior Learning Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing innovative learning solutions. The Senior Learning Specialist leads the assessment of training needs, designs and develops training content and programs, and evaluates training effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Design & Delivery: Lead and/or collaborate on end-to-end training projects with specific activities including project management, needs analysis, and determining the best course design approach using full-cycle ADDIE and SAM models.
- Assess Learning and Training Needs: Partner with the business to lead the analysis of training needs and determine assessment and success criteria. Design and facilitate surveys, assessments, and focus groups to gather information. Use data insights to identify needs and drive learning impact. Develop solutions focused on filling gaps and training needs, thinking outside of the box with continuous evaluation and innovative methodologies.
- Identify Learning Solutions: Develop creative and engaging learning content, curriculums, and learning paths in a variety of media through the design, creation, construction, and purchase of learning content. Partner with outside vendors, agencies, and educational institutions as needed. Provide guidance and strategies to evaluate and enhance current programs and build new learning programs.
- Delivery of Learning: Facilitate a variety of learning and skill-building sessions in person and virtually. Consult with SMEs on the train-the-trainer process and training sustainment and maintenance recommendations. Coordinate training and fulfill administrative tasks as needed.
- Communication & Promotion: Support the Manager - Learning & Development in creating marketing and communications plans for training initiatives. Align with Internal Communications on creative service design, communication planning, build, and deployment.
- Maintenance of Learning Systems & Resources: Maintain updated training curriculum, learning paths, and resources, along with training records, and assets. Perform as an administrator in the learning management system. Support implementation and management of learning platforms and content catalogs. Measure learning metrics and report out regularly. Support and recommend learning operational and governance processes and practices.
- Team Member Development: Stay current with L&D Industry trends and best practices to elevate the learning experience. Stay current on advancements in learning tools, metrics, measurement, and reporting. Mentor L&D team members as needed.
- Program & Vendor Management: Source, assess, and partner with external vendors, consultants, and providers to design and deploy learning programs and systems. Proactively manage external vendors and providers and monitor service to maintain successful partnerships and standards of services offered.

What you’ll need to succeed:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5-7+ years of demonstrated experience with end-to-end learning, development, and evaluation, including experience as a corporate trainer.
- Ability to design, create, and deliver effective training sessions for a variety of learnings virtually and on-site at the S&C Chicago campus, including team members working on the shop floor in manufacturing and assembly areas.
- Demonstrated experience using e-learning platforms and tools, including leading virtual classrooms utilizing multimedia tools.
- Great presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate concepts to a wide variety of audiences, from production workers to leaders.
- Ability to engage learners and create an interactive learning experience that’s impactful and enhances retention. Sound communication skills (written, verbal, and listening). Able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, from executives to support staff, and present compellingly to achieve buy-in from managers, and team members.
- Ability to analyze stakeholder performance indicators and determine if training intervention is needed.
- Sound customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent scriptwriting and great language skills. Good organizational and project management skills with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce highly targeted learning-related deliverables.
- The ability to lead, mentor, and provide guidance while collaborating with the L&D team.
- Familiarity with DEI principles and experience contributing to initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
- Demonstrated experience working with Articulate 360, Camtasia, Synthesia, LMS, video design, storyboard creation, recording, video editing, sound editing, and other software/tools relevant to the Learning & Development space.

- Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD).
- Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD).
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
- Knowledge or experience applying experiential learning theory.
- Knowledge of change management principals.
- Native or bilingual fluency in Spanish (written and verbal)
