Duties

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine appropriate treatment strategies.
• Deliver individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Implement crisis intervention techniques to manage urgent situations effectively while ensuring client safety and well-being.
• Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and treatment planning protocols; monitor progress through regular patient assessments.
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation, medical records management, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Engage in case management activities including intake procedures, patient communication, coordination with other healthcare providers, and follow-up care.
• Provide specialized services such as grief counseling, addiction counseling, social work support, pediatric therapy, Geriatrics care, or services for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
• Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance evidence-based practice; contribute to data collection efforts for quality improvement projects.
• Maintain professional licensure requirements by staying current with clinical ethical guidelines and relevant medical terminology updates.

Experience

• Proven experience working as a Licensed Professional Counselor in outpatient or inpatient settings with diverse populations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and art therapy.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with co-occurring disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or chronic pain management is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation; experience with CPT coding is a plus.
• Strong background in crisis management and crisis intervention strategies within mental health or hospital environments.
• Knowledge of telehealth platforms and delivering clinical counseling remotely while adhering to HIPAA standards.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments using standardized tools; experience working with individuals experiencing PTSD or gender issues counseling is advantageous.
• Skilled in clinical documentation standards including treatment planning, progress notes, medical records management, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
