Job Summary

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you’ll provide thoughtful, evidence-based care to clients across a range of ages and needs. You’ll conduct mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver individual and group counseling in appropriate settings, including telehealth when available. Responsibilities

• Conduct intake, diagnostic evaluation, and patient assessment; document care in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) in line with clinical documentation standards, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements, and ethical guidelines.
• Provide psychotherapy and clinical counseling using approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-focused therapy and grief counseling.
• Support children, youth, families, and adults, including clients with co-occurring disorders, depression, anxiety, post-partum issues, men's issues, couples/marriage counseling and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
• Apply ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and medical terminology as applicable; diagnosing, treatment planning and maintaining all clinical records.

Skills

• Required: Active professional counselor licensure applicable to the role; strong clinical counseling, client communication, treatment planning, and clinical documentation skills.
• Preferred: Experience in child and family counseling, pediatrics, behavioral health, outpatient, hospital, or clinic settings; telehealth therapy experience.
• Familiarity with behavioral therapy, group therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art or dance therapy, psychopharmacology, gender issues counseling, and CPT coding is valued.
• Knowledge of patient care, medical records, medical documentation, and evidence-based practice.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
