Nashville Veterinary Specialists in Nashville, TN is looking to add an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to our team as a Hospital Float!
Compensation: $21 - $33/hr, based on experience. Additional shift and weekend differentials offered.
$2,500 Sign on Bonus for Licensed Candidates
Schedule: 4 days per week, 10 hour shifts

About you: You are an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care. You understand the importance of maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people that share that same value. You can adapt to the individual needs of each patient, are eager to continue enhancing your skill set, and truly want to make a difference.
Requirements for the Role:
- Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, with specialty experience in surgery and internal medicine. LVMT, CVT, LVT, or RVT license required. Must obtain Tennessee Licensure within 90 days of start date.
- Have a broad understanding of all basic veterinary knowledge, including triage, disease processes, pharmacology, restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, anesthesia, laboratory equipment and procedures, etc.
- Possesses a calm demeanor in stressful situations, with critical thinking skills and high emotional intelligence
- Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus

While performing the duties of any of these positions, the employee is frequently required to bend, stand, stoop, walk, sit, talk, and listen; may be required to walk or stand for long periods of time; will use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; will reach with hands and arms. The employee is often required to lift and carry animals weighing fifty pounds or more; handle dogs weighing up to 150 pounds.
