River Oak Veterinary Clinic is looking for an experienced, compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our growing team.
We are a three-doctor small animal practice focused on excellent medicine, personalized client care, and a strong team culture. We are looking for an LVT who is confident in their technical skills, takes pride in exceptional patient care, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
What You'll Do
- Assist veterinarians with appointments, diagnostics, treatments, surgery, and dentistry
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication/fluid administration, and sample collection
- Run in-house laboratory testing and obtain digital and dental radiographs
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide skilled anesthesia monitoring and recovery
- Assist with dental cleanings, charting, and procedures within the LVT scope of practice
- Provide compassionate nursing care and client education
- Maintain accurate medical records and help support efficient patient flow
- Work closely with our doctors and support team to provide excellent patient care
What We're Looking For
- Current South Carolina Veterinary Technician license or eligibility for licensure
- Strong technical and patient-care skills
- Experience with anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, radiology, and laboratory procedures
- Confident, compassionate handling of dogs and cats
- Dependable, organized, and comfortable working as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to continue learning and growing
