- Lead a team of Analysts responsible for advanced logistics network design, optimization of inbound and return logistics, load density, frequency analysis, mode optimization, and logistics cost savings.
- Define methods and procedures to maintain lane level plans within plan for every part (PFEP), Transportation Management System (TMS), and ensure SAP aligned to ship calendar and transit.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to implement logistics plans between suppliers, carriers, plant/PDC, and material planning. Partner with purchasing to ensure carrier coverage. Support and develop KPIs to improve shipment execution against plan.
- Build and maintain the tools used to calculate utilization and maintain standard work against logistics plans (Alteryx and Tableau).
- Define transit standards and measure performance against.
- Serve as subject matter expert for lane implementation and partner with IT and Logistics Program Management in planning systems strategy and process. See beyond the status quo and be cutting edge.
- Analyze and report out on inbound freight spend.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on vendor selection, KPI measurement, and logistics process development. Own the role, and craft best in class strategies and process for exponential growth.
- Provide a customer-oriented approach to support the internal customers.
- Support future model planning to identify optimal sourcing locations based on total landed cost.
- Future model forecasting and planning working closely with finance for budget setting.
- 10+ years of experience in the automotive/operational logistics industry.
- Ability to lead a team through ambiguity, and interpret data to drive decision-making
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or Supply Chain. MBA or master’s degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
- Experience creating and optimizing logistics plans and implementing them with carriers and suppliers and managing change cross-functionally between logistics ops and material supply.
- Hands-on experience working with Transportation Management System (TMS), SAP, and Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
- Ability to travel 20-25%
