Entry Level Mammography Technologist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level mammography technologist job?
Most entry level mammography technologist roles require an ARRT certification in mammography or radiography plus a completed clinical rotation. Candidates who can show hands-on experience with digital and 3D tomosynthesis equipment stand out early. Applying to hospital systems, outpatient imaging centers, and mobile mammography units broadens your options, since all three hire at the zero-to-two-year experience level.
Which companies hire entry level mammography technologists?
Companies hiring entry level mammography technologists right now include Optum, Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health, and Advocate Aurora Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of large hospital networks, regional imaging chains, and outpatient diagnostic clinics that bring on new grads to meet growing screening demand.
Are there remote entry level mammography technologist jobs?
Yes, though most mammography work is hands-on and on-site by nature. About 0% of entry level mammography technologist openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those typically involve teleradiology support, quality assurance review, or patient scheduling functions rather than direct imaging work.
Are these new grad mammography technologist jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior mammography technologist roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts clinical rotations or internships toward the requirement, or explicitly accepts candidates who are newly ARRT-certified. Many employers in this category actively recruit from radiologic technology programs.
Which industries hire the most entry level mammography technologists?
Entry Level mammography technologist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Agriculture & Farming, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because expanded screening guidelines and aging patient populations have increased demand for qualified technologists across all facility types.
