Marketing Data Analyst Jobs in Mississippi: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing data analyst in Mississippi?
Marketing data analyst roles in Mississippi do not require a state-issued license, but most employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, business analytics, statistics, or a closely related field. Candidates who add certifications in Google Analytics, Salesforce, or a BI tool like Tableau strengthen their applications considerably. Mississippi universities such as Mississippi State and the University of Mississippi offer analytics-focused business programs that feed directly into local hiring pipelines.
How much do marketing data analysts make in Mississippi?
Marketing data analysts in Mississippi earn a median of about $56,640 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $30,780 for the lowest 10% to over $95,240 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing data analysts in Mississippi?
Companies currently hiring marketing data analysts in Mississippi include CVS Health, Ryder System, and Northrop Grumman, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Mississippi's mix of regional banks, healthcare systems, and food and agriculture corporations means demand tends to concentrate in organizations with large customer bases and ongoing digital marketing investment.
Which Mississippi cities have the most marketing data analyst jobs?
Jackson, Tupelo, and Mississippi account for the largest share of marketing data analyst openings in Mississippi. Jackson drives the most volume as the state capital and primary corporate hub, anchored by financial institutions and health systems, while Ridgeland and Hattiesburg attract openings through their retail, insurance, and regional healthcare employers headquartered in or near those metro areas.
Are there remote marketing data analyst jobs in Mississippi?
Yes, and more than most fields, because marketing data analyst work is desk-based and conducted almost entirely through software and cloud platforms. About 50% of marketing data analyst openings tied to Mississippi are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly this role can be performed off-site. Campaign analytics, reporting, and audience modeling are the tasks most consistently offered on a fully remote basis.
How can I get hired as a marketing data analyst in Mississippi with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a marketing coordinator, data coordinator, or business analyst associate role at one of Mississippi's larger healthcare systems or regional banks, then moving laterally once you have demonstrated analytics output. Mississippi State University and the University of Mississippi both have career placement programs that connect new graduates to internships at Mississippi-based corporations. Building a portfolio of CRM reports or campaign dashboards using publicly available datasets, and earning a free Google Analytics or HubSpot certification, gives candidates without full-time experience a concrete credential to reference in applications.
