The Operations Central Team (OCT) drives global manufacturing excellence by standardizing processes, improving equipment performance, and scaling best practices across Micron’s worldwide fabrication network.
Position Overview:
As a Staff/Senior PAC (Pump, Abatement, and Chiller) Engineer within OCT Manufacturing Technology Enablement, you will lead global efforts to improve PAC system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. You will partner with manufacturing sites and suppliers to identify improvement opportunities, align global strategies, and deliver best-in-class performance. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement, standardizing business processes, and enabling global collaboration to support safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and improve global PAC business processes, including continuous improvement initiatives and alignment of Best Known Methods (BKMs).
- Drive global collaboration by facilitating peer groups to align on strategy, roadmaps, and performance goals.
- Evaluate PAC system performance across sites, identify gaps, and implement improvements to achieve best-in-class results.
- Partner with manufacturing sites to analyze performance data and deliver improvements in safety, cost, sustainability, and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement and enhance PAC system capability and reliability.
- Develop and maintain PAC documentation, including specifications, configurations, and qualification requirements.
- Lead and manage multiple projects, ensuring delivery through all phases from planning to implementation and review.
- Communicate progress, risks, and results clearly while promoting accountability and knowledge sharing across the global network.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, facilities engineering, or related technical roles.
- Experience working with pump, abatement, chiller systems, or similar facility/equipment systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects or initiatives and collaborate across teams.
- Strong communication skills in English and ability to work across global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing or facilities systems.
- Experience driving global standardization, continuous improvement, or best practice deployment.
- Familiarity with data analysis and performance metrics to improve system reliability and cost efficiency.
- Willingness and ability to travel to support global site collaboration and supplier engagement.
