INTRODUCTION
Dematic has an immediate need for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Structural Steel Team! This position requires a very organized, task-oriented, and self-accountable team member to effectively manage the header steel support solutions for hanging mechanical equipment from building structures! Strong time management, communication, and ability to work within a team skills are also required. Some project travel will be required (up to 15%) for project scope, building verification, and/or site problem resolution.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $67,125 - $98,450 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
TASKS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
This Is What You Will Do In This Role:
- Design header steel support solutions for hanging mechanical equipment from the customer’s building within Dematic’s cad system.
- Prepare and deliver load analysis, accurate Bill of Materials, and installation drawings to the project execution team.
- Track and provide input/feedback on header steel schedule and deliverables.
- Will work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Coordinate and communicate with onsite project and installation team members for Header Steel specific topics.
- Other responsibilities as required.
What We Are Looking For:
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Civil or Mechanical Engineer.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering – Civil or Mechanical, with interest in Structural Steel Support Design or Material Strength Design.
- International Building Codes and OSHA Regulations knowledge a plus.
- Structural Steel/Material Strength knowledge, preferred.
- Project-based engineering experience, preferred.
- Background in Material Handling/Automation industry, preferred.
- Software experience: Required - 2D & 3D CAD, and Microsoft Office. Helpful - AutoCad, RISA, and/or CET/Maestro experience. Preferred - BIM360.
