Medical Assistant Jobs in Miami: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a medical assistant job in Miami?
Focus your search on Miami's largest hiring sectors: hospital systems anchored in the Health District, multi-specialty outpatient clinics in Coral Gables and Brickell, and the dense concentration of urgent care and primary care offices in Doral and Hialeah. Bilingual Spanish-English fluency is a genuine differentiator in Miami's patient population, and candidates with phlebotomy or EHR experience tend to move through interviews faster at the larger networks.
Which companies hire medical assistants in Miami?
Companies currently hiring medical assistants in Miami include Baptist Health South Florida, University of Miami, and Mount Sinai Medical Center, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Miami's hiring mix runs from large hospital-affiliated physician groups to independent specialty practices and federally qualified health centers serving the city's diverse communities.
Are there remote medical assistant jobs in Miami?
Remote opportunities are limited for medical assistants because most duties require direct patient contact, but roles in prior authorization, medical records, and telehealth coordination do exist. About 0% of medical assistant openings tied to Miami are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with the largest share concentrated in administrative and care coordination functions. Telehealth-focused practices in the Brickell and downtown corridors post these openings most consistently.
How can I get a medical assistant job in Miami with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Miami is through federally qualified health centers and community health clinics, which regularly hire entry-level candidates and offer structured on-the-job training. Urgent care chains expanding across Hialeah, Doral, and the western suburbs also hire new graduates and extern completers. Completing a clinical externship at a Miami-area institution and earning a bilingual patient communication designation strengthens applications considerably in this market.
Which industries hire the most medical assistants in Miami?
Miami medical assistant roles concentrate in Education and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Miami's large retiree population, high density of specialty practices in Coral Gables, and growing network of community health centers in Little Havana and Hialeah all sustain strong, consistent demand across those sectors.
