Job Overview
Seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work in a physical therapy (Injury Clinic and wellness center). As a Certified Medical Assistant, you’ll help clinicians deliver organized, attentive care in a fast-moving medical setting. You’ll support patients through intake, clinical procedures, and follow-up while keeping records accurate and the care team informed. The role may involve outpatient or inpatient workflows, depending on the setting. English is a must, and social media presence as well.
Duties
- Welcome patients, complete intake, record vital signs, and prepare them for examinations.
- Assist with patient care, phlebotomy, medication administration, and clinical procedures within your training and applicable requirements.
- Maintain medical documentation and medical records using electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling, record coordination, and support for medical office management.
- Your impact: Accurate intake and documentation help clinicians make informed decisions and give patients a smoother, more coordinated care experience.
Skills
- Required: Certified Medical Assistant qualification and basic life support (BLS); patient service skills; medical assisting experience or relevant preparation; knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Required: Familiarity with EHR systems, electronic health records management, medical documentation, medical records, and International Classification of Diseases (ICD) coding.
- Preferred: Medical office experience, phlebotomy, vital signs, medication administration, and outpatient or hospital experience, including inpatient care.
- Additional experience welcomed: Dermatology, urgent care, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, geriatrics, or operating room (OR) settings.
- Experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is also valued; these are preferences, not requirements.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
