- Performs all Medical Assistant functions.
- Implements and provides appropriate clinical support in conjunction with the planned activities of the ambulatory setting in order to provide adequate support for the medical providers.
- With guidance from immediate manager, assists with personnel and payroll functions for assigned personnel including, but not limited to participating in the hiring process, training process and continuous coaching and feedback for the staff in relation to their performance.
- Ensures appropriate budgetary standards are implemented for labor and supply monitoring.
- Ensures compliance of regulatory and organizational policies and procedures with the clinical staff, and recommends changes in policies and procedures as identified.
- Participates in regulatory and proficiency checks for quality management and accreditation requirements.
- Implements and monitors process for testing result maintenance of all tests/referrals made to other departments for physician staff.
- Institutes and maintains a high level of customer service in the back office area in regards to patient, physician and inter-departmental contact made in person or by telephone.
- Participates in performance improvement projects.
- Participates as an active care team member in the coordination of patient care.
