Certified Medical Assistant Jobs in Miami: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a certified medical assistant job in Miami?
Start by targeting Miami's densest hiring pockets: hospital-affiliated outpatient clinics in Coral Gables and Coconut Grove, multi-specialty group practices in Brickell, and community health centers in Little Havana and Hialeah. Bilingual Spanish-English fluency gives candidates a clear edge with Miami's patient population. Phlebotomy and EHR proficiency, especially with Epic or Athenahealth, are the skills local hiring managers mention most consistently.
Which companies hire certified medical assistants in Miami?
Employers hiring certified medical assistants in Miami right now include University of Miami, Mount Sinai Medical Center, and Agape Network, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Miami's hiring landscape leans heavily toward large hospital systems with satellite clinics, concierge primary care practices, and federally qualified health centers serving diverse communities throughout Miami-Dade County.
Are there remote certified medical assistant jobs in Miami?
Yes, but only for a narrow slice of the role, since most certified medical assistant work requires in-person patient contact. About 0% of certified medical assistant openings tied to Miami are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions tend to focus on prior authorization, medical coding support, or chronic care management coordination rather than direct clinical duties.
How can I get a certified medical assistant job in Miami with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Miami is through community health centers and federally qualified health centers in neighborhoods like Little Havana, Overtown, and Hialeah, which routinely hire new graduates and offer structured onboarding. Medical assistant externship programs tied to Miami Dade College place students directly with local clinic partners. Highlighting bilingual skills and any hands-on clinical hours, even from a training program, meaningfully strengthens an entry-level application in this market.
Which industries hire the most certified medical assistants in Miami?
Most certified medical assistant openings in Miami sit in Healthcare & Medical Services and Education, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Miami's role as a regional hub for Latin American healthcare tourism, combined with a large retiree population and a dense network of independent specialty practices, keeps demand across those sectors consistently high.
