About the Position
The Senior Physician Liaison plays an important role in expanding Brown Fertility's physician referral network, strengthening existing provider relationships, and identifying new opportunities for business growth.
This is a full-time, field-based position ideal for an individual who thrives on relationship-building, strategic outreach, and business development. The successful candidate will be proactive, personable, organized, and comfortable independently managing multiple territories.
Your primary focus will be to develop new referring provider relationships, strengthen existing partnerships, increase physician referrals, and support Brown Fertility's continued market growth.
Key Responsibilities
Physician Relations & Business Development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with OB/GYNs, primary care providers, advanced practice providers, referral coordinators, and other healthcare professionals.
- Identify and establish relationships with new referring providers to expand Brown Fertility's referral network.
- Strengthen existing referral relationships through consistent outreach, education, and personalized follow-up.
- Develop strategic outreach plans to increase referral volume and expand market presence.
- Identify new business development opportunities, partnerships, and potential referral sources.
- Serve as a trusted resource for referring offices, helping facilitate communication and address referral-related concerns.
Territory Management & Market Growth
- Independently manage provider outreach and relationship development across assigned territories.
- Monitor referral trends, identify opportunities for growth, and re-engage inactive or declining referral sources.
- Coordinate physician meetings, office visits, educational presentations, and networking opportunities.
- Support awareness and utilization of Brown Fertility's services, physicians, and locations, including satellite locations.
- Provide leadership with market insights, competitive intelligence, and recommendations for continued growth.
Marketing & Community Engagement
- Plan and participate in physician lunches, educational events, networking opportunities, conferences, and community initiatives.
- Collaborate with the marketing department on strategic campaigns, provider outreach, and partnership development.
- Represent Brown Fertility professionally at healthcare and community events.
- Assist with physician recruitment visits, provider introductions, and other strategic growth initiatives.
- Support onboarding and mentoring of new physician liaisons as needed.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of provider outreach, visits, follow-up activities, and relationship development using designated CRM and reporting tools.
- Track referral trends, new referring provider relationships, and progress toward established performance goals and KPIs.
- Collaborate with marketing, scheduling, and clinical operations to improve referral processes and address provider concerns.
- Provide regular territory updates, market insights, and performance reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve referral retention, patient access, and overall provider engagement.
Assigned Territories & Travel
This position is based in Jacksonville, Florida, with responsibility for physician referral development throughout Northeast Florida, North Florida, the Daytona Beach region, Southeast Georgia, and surrounding communities.
Territory coverage includes, but is not limited to:
- Northeast & North Florida: Jacksonville, Orange Park, Fernandina Beach, St. Augustine, Tallahassee, and surrounding communities.
- Daytona Beach & Coastal Corridor: Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, St. Augustine, Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, and surrounding communities along the route.
- Southeast & South Georgia: Savannah, Brunswick, Valdosta, Thomasville, Albany, and surrounding communities.
Regular regional travel is required. Territory priorities, travel schedules, and outreach strategies will be coordinated with marketing leadership. Additional surrounding markets may be assigned based on organizational needs and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in physician relations, healthcare business development, medical sales, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in women's health or specialty healthcare is a plus.
- Proven ability to build relationships, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to referral growth.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills.
