The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota is seeking a full-time academic orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty interest in orthopedic trauma at the rank of Associate or Full Professor with tenure.

About the Appointment:

• The ideal candidate will have fellowship training and expertise in orthopedic trauma care.



• The Department is interested in candidates who will bring to their research, teaching, and/or service the perspective that comes from a nontraditional educational background or understanding of the experiences of those underrepresented in medicine.
• Academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work in the candidate’s area of specialty/research experience with a goal of developing collaborative or independent, externally funded research.
• The ideal candidate will participate in research mentorship for medical students, residents, and faculty.
• Faculty will be active in their national organizations and foster an academic environment for medical students, residents and faculty.
