Mid Level Microsoft 365 Administrator Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level microsoft 365 administrator job?
Position yourself around ownership, not just task completion. Highlight projects where you led a migration, redesigned a tenant policy, or resolved a complex Exchange or Teams issue without escalating. Certifications like MS-102 or SC-300 signal readiness for this tier. Tailor your resume to show measurable outcomes, such as reduced ticket volume or improved compliance posture, rather than listing tools you have used.
Which companies hire mid level microsoft 365 administrators?
Companies hiring mid level microsoft 365 administrators right now include Argano, Microsoft, and N2S.Global, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from mid-size and enterprise organizations that run Microsoft 365 as their core productivity stack and need administrators who can manage it with minimal supervision.

Most responsibilities, from tenant administration to policy enforcement and user support, can be handled entirely through cloud-based management consoles without being on site.
How do I move up to a mid level microsoft 365 administrator role?
The path runs through demonstrated ownership rather than years alone. Build depth in one or two workloads, such as Exchange Online or SharePoint, then expand into adjacent areas like Intune or Entra ID. Take on projects that have a before-and-after result you can articulate. Earning a role-based Microsoft certification validates the technical depth hiring managers look for when promoting or hiring into mid level positions.
