Entry Level Motion Graphics Designer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level motion graphics designer job?
Build a portfolio that shows motion work across at least two or three formats, such as title sequences, social animations, or explainer videos. Employers hiring at this level prioritize what you can demonstrate over how long you have been working. Internship credits, student projects, and self-initiated work all count. Proficiency in After Effects and a basic grasp of design principles will give you a concrete edge in most screenings.
Which companies hire entry level motion graphics designers?
Companies hiring entry level motion graphics designers right now include Apple, NVIDIA, and Canfield Scientific, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, you'll find openings at studios, in-house creative teams at brands, and media production companies that use junior designers to support larger motion projects.
Are there remote entry level motion graphics designer jobs?
Yes, though remote availability at the entry level is more selective than at senior levels. About 0% of entry level motion graphics designer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid roles tending to be more common for junior candidates whose employers prefer some in-person mentorship during the first months on the job.
Are these new grad motion graphics designer jobs?
Yes. The listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior motion graphics designer roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it explicitly welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or academic work as a substitute for full-time experience, or asks for a portfolio rather than a lengthy employment history. If you're just finishing a degree or a bootcamp, these roles are built for you.
