How do you become a mri technologist in New Hampshire?
You must hold an active New Hampshire radiologic technologist license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, which requires completing an accredited radiologic technology or MRI program and passing the ARRT examination in Radiography or MRI. Many candidates earn ARRT primary certification in Radiography first, then pursue the MRI post-primary credential. New Hampshire requires license renewal on a biennial cycle with continuing education.
How much do MRI technologists make in New Hampshire?
MRI technologists in New Hampshire earn a median of about $105,420 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,800 for the lowest 10% to over $119,030 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire mri technologists in New Hampshire?

Which New Hampshire cities have the most mri technologist jobs?
Dover, Concord, and Lebanon account for the highest concentration of mri technologist openings in New Hampshire. Manchester anchors the market as the state's largest city and home to several major hospital campuses and imaging centers, while Concord draws hiring through state government-affiliated facilities and Dartmouth Health's regional network, and Nashua benefits from its proximity to the Massachusetts border and a dense corridor of outpatient and specialty imaging providers.
Are there remote mri technologist jobs in New Hampshire?
Yes, but they're rare. About 0% of mri technologist openings tied to New Hampshire are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the hands-on, scanner-side nature of the role. The portions most likely to include flexible scheduling are administrative or supervisory roles, teleradiology support functions, or imaging quality review positions that do not require direct patient contact.
How can I get hired as a mri technologist in New Hampshire with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing an ARRT-registered technologist role in Radiography at a New Hampshire hospital and then pursuing the MRI post-primary certification while working. Dartmouth Health and Concord Hospital have offered new-graduate imaging technologist programs and department-based cross-training opportunities that allow radiographers to rotate into MRI. Holding a current New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy license before applying, even without dedicated MRI hours, demonstrates readiness to employers screening new-grad candidates.
