Entry Level National Sales Director Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level national sales director job?
Entry level national sales director roles go to candidates who can show early commercial results, even from internships, campus sales clubs, or self-directed projects. Employers at this level look for a clear grasp of territory planning, pipeline fundamentals, and cross-functional communication. Tailoring your resume to show revenue impact, however small, and demonstrating readiness to manage accounts across multiple regions gives you a measurable edge over candidates with only general sales exposure.
Which companies hire entry level national sales directors?
Companies hiring entry level national sales directors right now include Synertex, Allied Universal, and C&S Wholesale Grocers, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from growth-stage companies, regional divisions of larger organizations, and firms launching new product lines that need junior sales leadership to help scale distribution quickly.
Are there remote entry level national sales director jobs?
Yes, though remote availability varies by employer and industry. About 29% of entry level national sales director openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting a shift toward distributed sales teams. Many fully remote postings still require occasional travel for client meetings or team offsites, so candidates should review location requirements carefully before applying.
Are these new grad national sales director jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that welcome recent graduates or candidates with limited professional experience. A new grad national sales director posting typically signals the employer is open to someone with zero to two years of experience, relevant internships, or a portfolio of projects showing sales initiative. Look for language like 'entry level,' 'junior,' or 'training provided' as clear signals the role suits early-career applicants.
Which industries hire the most entry level national sales directors?
Entry Level national sales director roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Distribution & Wholesale, and Staffing & Recruiting, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive hiring at this level because they rely on scalable sales structures, frequent product launches, or rapidly expanding customer bases that require junior sales leaders who can grow alongside the business.
