Network Coordinator Jobs in Louisiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a network coordinator in Louisiana?
Most Louisiana employers require at minimum an associate degree in healthcare administration, information technology, or a related discipline, though a bachelor's degree is increasingly preferred. Healthcare network coordinator roles often expect familiarity with Louisiana Medicaid managed care programs overseen by the Louisiana Department of Health. No single state-issued license is universally required, but certifications in care coordination, project management, or network administration strengthen candidacy significantly in Louisiana's competitive market.
Which companies hire network coordinators in Louisiana?
Employers hiring network coordinators in Louisiana right now include Southern Star, CVS Health, and General Informatics, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Louisiana's large integrated health systems, regional telecommunications providers, and state agency networks generate consistent demand for this role throughout the year.
Which Louisiana cities have the most network coordinator jobs?
Baton Rouge, Shreveport, and New Orleans account for the largest share of network coordinator openings in Louisiana. New Orleans and Baton Rouge concentrate the most positions due to their large hospital systems, state government offices, and regional telecommunications infrastructure, while Shreveport draws demand from its healthcare campuses and regional corporate headquarters in northwest Louisiana.
Are there remote network coordinator jobs in Louisiana?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based fields, since many network coordinator roles involve on-site provider visits, facility coordination, or hands-on IT network support. About 20% of network coordinator openings tied to Louisiana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with remote work most available in managed care utilization review and IT network monitoring positions.
How can I get hired as a network coordinator in Louisiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for patient services representative, medical receptionist, or IT help desk roles at Louisiana health systems like Ochsner Health or LCMC Health, then moving internally into coordination functions. The Louisiana Community and Technical College System offers healthcare management and IT programs that Louisiana employers recognize for entry-level candidates. Earning a care coordination certificate or a CompTIA Network+ credential gives candidates without direct experience a concrete edge when applying.
Where can I find and apply to network coordinator jobs in Louisiana?
You can find and apply to network coordinator jobs in Louisiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and location, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
