Entry Level Network Security Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level network security analyst job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for candidates who can demonstrate hands-on skills, even without years of experience. A home lab, a capture-the-flag competition record, or an internship in IT or security gives you a concrete edge. Certifications like CompTIA Security+ or Network+ signal readiness. Tailor your resume to the specific tools and threats each posting mentions.
Which companies hire entry level network security analysts?
Companies hiring entry level network security analysts right now include University of Southern California, Google, and HCLTech, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including government contractors, managed security service providers, financial institutions, and mid-size technology firms building out their security teams.
Are there remote entry level network security analyst jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles still dominate at the entry level. About 17% of entry level network security analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, which means flexibility exists but is less common than in more senior roles. Searching by location preference on Migrate Mate lets you filter to remote or hybrid openings directly.
Are these new grad network security analyst jobs?
Yes, the listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior network security analyst roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or academic projects toward that requirement, or accepts a portfolio in place of professional history. Look for language like "entry level," "junior," or "no prior experience required" in the job description.
Which industries hire the most entry level network security analysts?
Entry Level network security analyst roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they handle sensitive data, face regulatory compliance requirements, or operate critical infrastructure that demands dedicated security staff even in early-career positions.
