Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 3+ years of experience and NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certification to rotate between two campus Nuclear Medicine departments.
Details
- Rotates between two Nuclear Medicine departments alongside other full-time staff technologists
- Day shift, Monday-Friday, 5x8 hours with hours varying by campus location (6:30 AM-3:00 PM or 7:00 AM-3:30 PM)
- Rotating call required 7 days a week at the main campus
- Weekend and holiday coverage required on an on-call basis only
- Floats between General Nuclear Medicine and Cardiology service lines
- Floats between two campus locations rotating with other full-time staff technologists for cardiac cases
- Uses Epic for charting
- Level II Trauma, Acute Care Hospital setting
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- BLS and CNMT required
- NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certification required
- ARRT(CT) certification preferred but not required
- State license required in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography (license required if applicable)
- B.S. or B.A. degree preferred
- Experience with bone scans (whole body and 3 phase), HIDA scans, GI bleed studies, lymphoscintigraphy, parathyroid imaging, thyroid uptake, renal scans with Lasix, lung scans, MUGA scans, WBC infection imaging, and MPI stress tests required
- Must provide own radiation badge as the facility does not supply one to travelers
- Full SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Previous MUSC staff (including PRN) must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility will be considered at a lower rate, as non-local candidates are prioritized
- Block scheduling may be accommodated with prior approval but is not guaranteed
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration
- Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June through November, with peak activity in August and September)
