Entry Level Obstetrician/Gynecologist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level obstetrician/gynecologist job?
Completing your OB/GYN residency is the foundational requirement, but what sets entry level candidates apart is demonstrating clinical range early. Employers at this stage look for documented delivery experience, exposure to high-risk pregnancies, and comfort with both surgical and outpatient care. Board eligibility, strong letters from residency attendings, and any fellowship or subspecialty rotations give candidates a real edge when competing for first attending positions.
Which companies hire entry level obstetrician/gynecologists?
Companies hiring entry level obstetrician/gynecologists right now include Kaleida Health, University of Houston, and Auburn Community Hospital, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers large health systems, regional hospital groups, and multispecialty medical practices that regularly recruit new residency graduates to build out their women's health teams.
Are there remote entry level obstetrician/gynecologist jobs?
Yes, though most obstetrician/gynecologist roles require direct patient care and are on-site by nature. About 0% of entry level obstetrician/gynecologist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and these tend to cover telehealth consultations, prenatal follow-up visits, or administrative and quality-review work rather than full clinical positions.
Are these new grad obstetrician/gynecologist jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior obstetrician/gynecologist roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it explicitly welcomes zero to two years of post-residency experience, treats residency rotations as qualifying clinical experience, or invites candidates who are board-eligible rather than board-certified. If a listing does not require prior attending-level practice, it is appropriate for a new grad applicant.
Which industries hire the most entry level obstetrician/gynecologists?
Entry Level obstetrician/gynecologist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at the entry level because they operate high-volume women's health and labor and delivery services that depend on a steady pipeline of residency graduates to fill frontline clinical positions.
