Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital, requiring a SC or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of OR experience.
Details
- Work setting is an acute care hospital with 75 staffed beds
- Operating Room (OR) unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- On-call is required: 1 day per week and one weekend per month
- Travelers may be required to float between Downtown, Northeast, and Kershaw campuses based on census and staffing needs
- Charting is performed in Epic
- Free parking is available with a pass distributed at pickup
Requirements
- Active SC RN license or multistate/compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have active licensure prior to start
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- AHA ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- A radiation badge is required and must be provided by your agency
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are accepted
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration and are subject to facility approval
- Online orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
