🚨 NOW HIRING!! MID–SENIOR SUBSTATION ENGINEER in Orlando, FL (Remote) ⚡ We’re seeking experienced Mid–Senior Substation Engineers to support the engineering and design of high-voltage and medium-voltage substations from concept through construction and commissioning.
AREAS OF EXPERTISE:
We are looking for engineers with experience in one or more of:
- Substation Physical Design
- Protection & Control (P&C) Design
- Relay Settings
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Design HV/MV substations, including physical layouts, P&C systems, grounding, and equipment applications
- Develop one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, yard layouts, grounding plans, specifications, and calculations
- Perform engineering studies including short circuit, grounding, load flow, voltage drop, protection coordination, and arc flash
- Review vendor drawings, contractor submittals, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with PMs, utility clients, manufacturers, and project stakeholders
- Support construction, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and energization
- Provide technical mentorship and QA/QC support to junior engineers and designers
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Mid-Level: 3–6 years of progressive substation engineering experience
Senior-Level: 6+ years with technical project leadership experience
- B.S. in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- EIT preferred for Mid-Level | PE preferred for Senior-Level
- Strong experience with Bluebeam Revu & Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bentley Substation, Mathcad, WinIGS, CDEGS, ASPEN OneLiner, ETAP, or SEL acSELerator QuickSet is highly preferred
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
