As we expand—particularly into specialized areas like headache management—we are looking for a forward-thinking Lead Optician to help enact our vision of an elite, modern optical boutique.
Responsibilities
As our Lead Optician, you will curate the ultimate eyewear experience, balancing patient care with strategic department management. This includes:
Patient Care & Styling
- Lifestyle Styling: Style patients with the best eyewear and lenses to suit their unique lifestyle, personality, and technical needs.
- Premium Education: Educate patients on high-quality optical products and advanced lens technologies.
- Precision Fitting: Dispense glasses, custom-fit frames, and troubleshoot vision needs to ensure optimal comfort and visual acuity.
- Pediatric Care: Welcome and comfortably style our growing pediatric patient base.
Lab Management & Strategy
- In-House Edging: Operate and maintain the in-office finishing edger to ensure precise layout, blocking, and cutting of lenses.
- Lab Management: Submit optical orders into our electronic system and track them tightly to ensure total patient satisfaction.
- Inventory Control: Lead the frame-buying process with local representatives and manage inventory levels.
- Business Growth: Translate patient encounters into profitable sales, track optical expenses, project growth, and strategize with the doctors to continuously improve optical revenue.
Requirements
- Experienced: Proven background in optical dispensing and styling. Hands-on experience operating a lens edger is preferred, but not required.
