OT Jobs in Jacksonville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a ot job in Jacksonville?
The strongest entry points in Jacksonville are its major health systems, outpatient rehab clinics, and the growing network of school-based therapy programs serving Duval County. Candidates who have hands-on experience in pediatric, neurological, or orthopedic settings stand out in this market. Networking through UNF and Florida State College at Jacksonville programs also connects candidates directly to local employers who hire consistently.
Which companies hire ots in Jacksonville?
Companies currently hiring ots in Jacksonville include Brooks Rehabilitation, Continuum Therapy Partners, and Motus Nova, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Jacksonville's employer mix leans heavily toward large health systems, specialty outpatient clinics, and long-term care facilities concentrated in the Southside and Mandarin areas.
Are there remote ot jobs in Jacksonville?
Yes, but only for a limited subset of the role, since most ot work requires direct patient contact and hands-on treatment. About 100% of ot openings tied to Jacksonville are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, reflecting the limited but real demand for telehealth OT consultations and case management roles. Home health documentation and care coordination duties are the functions most commonly handled remotely in Jacksonville.
How can I get a ot job in Jacksonville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Jacksonville is a fieldwork placement or per-diem role at one of the city's large outpatient rehab centers or skilled nursing facilities along the Southside corridor. Duval County Public Schools also hires entry-level ots and OTAs for school-based positions, which offer structured mentorship. Completing a Level II fieldwork rotation locally is one of the most effective ways to convert into a permanent hire with Jacksonville employers.
