Patient Services Manager Jobs in Boston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a patient services manager job in Boston?
Target Boston's dense healthcare corridor anchored in Longwood Medical Area, where major academic medical centers, teaching hospitals, and specialty practices concentrate most openings. Experience coordinating patient access, scheduling, or front-desk operations at a high-volume site gives you a clear edge here. Candidates who know Epic or similar electronic health record systems move faster through hiring. Networking with Boston's large community health center network also opens doors that general applications miss.
Which companies hire patient services managers in Boston?
Companies currently hiring patient services managers in Boston include Amazon Web Services, Deloitte, and Amazon, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Boston's hiring landscape is driven by large academic health systems, regional specialty groups, and community health organizations spread from Longwood to the South End and Jamaica Plain.
Are there remote patient services manager jobs in Boston?
Yes, though most patient services manager roles are on-site because they involve direct coordination with patients, clinical staff, and front-desk teams. About 42% of patient services manager openings tied to Boston are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, and those tend to be in revenue cycle oversight, care coordination management, or telehealth-aligned programs rather than traditional clinic settings.
How can I get a patient services manager job in Boston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Boston is moving up from a patient services representative or medical receptionist role at one of the city's community health centers or specialty group practices, which hire frequently and promote from within. Boston's Federally Qualified Health Centers in Roxbury, Dorchester, and East Boston are especially active entry points. Building familiarity with Epic and patient satisfaction metrics while in a coordinator role puts you in a competitive position when a supervisory opening appears.
Which industries hire the most patient services managers in Boston?
Boston patient services manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Investment & Asset Management, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Boston's status as a global hub for academic medicine, biotech-adjacent specialty care, and community health drives consistent demand across those sectors throughout the year.
