Entry Level Pharmacy Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level pharmacy analyst job?
Entry level pharmacy analyst roles typically look for candidates with a pharmacy, health informatics, or data analytics background. Internship experience, familiarity with pharmacy management systems, and exposure to claims data or drug utilization analysis give candidates a real edge. Highlighting coursework in pharmacology, coding, or healthcare databases helps when your work history is limited.
Which companies hire entry level pharmacy analysts?
Companies hiring entry level pharmacy analysts right now include Inovalon, Denver Health, and Cardinal Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of health insurers, pharmacy benefit managers, hospital systems, and retail pharmacy chains looking to build out their analytics teams.
Are there remote entry level pharmacy analyst jobs?
Yes, though most entry level roles still prefer on-site or hybrid arrangements. About 18% of entry level pharmacy analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so remote options exist but are less common for candidates just starting out than they are at the mid or senior level.
Are these new grad pharmacy analyst jobs?
Yes, many of these openings are new grad friendly, meaning they welcome recent graduates and junior candidates with little to no professional experience. A new grad posting typically accepts zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-ops, and values a strong academic background or portfolio over an extensive work history.
Which industries hire the most entry level pharmacy analysts?
Entry Level pharmacy analyst roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Distribution & Wholesale, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive the most hiring at this level because they handle high volumes of prescription data, claims processing, and formulary management that require dedicated analyst support.
