Entry Level Telemetry RN Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level telemetry rn job?
Employers hiring entry level telemetry rns look for candidates who completed a cardiac or step-down unit rotation during nursing school, hold a current RN license, and have a working knowledge of cardiac rhythms and telemetry monitoring equipment. A practicum in a progressive care or telemetry unit carries significant weight at this stage, and ACLS certification before applying gives you a clear edge over other new grad applicants.
Which companies hire entry level telemetry rns?
Companies hiring entry level telemetry rns right now include Prisma Health, American Traveler, and Ascension, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. The mix typically includes large health systems, regional medical centers, and community hospitals, many of which run structured new grad residency programs designed to onboard candidates who have not yet worked in a telemetry setting.
Are there remote entry level telemetry rn jobs?
Yes, though most telemetry rn roles require hands-on bedside care and are on-site. About 0% of entry level telemetry rn openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions tend to involve telephonic triage, remote patient monitoring support, or care coordination rather than direct floor nursing.
Are these new grad telemetry rn jobs?
Yes, the openings listed here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior telemetry rn roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes candidates with zero to two years of experience, accepts a clinical rotation or internship in lieu of paid work history, or explicitly offers a nurse residency or structured orientation. If you graduated within the past year, these are the roles to target first.
Which industries hire the most entry level telemetry rns?
Entry Level telemetry rn roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because high patient volumes and cardiac unit expansion create consistent demand for new graduates willing to complete a supervised telemetry orientation before taking a full patient assignment.
