Entry Level Dentist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level dentist job?
Focus on completing your DDS or DMD degree and passing your NBDE or INBDE licensure exams, then highlight clinical rotation experience, externships, and any specialty procedures you performed during training. Practices hiring at the entry level look for candidates with a patient-centered approach, solid foundational technique, and a willingness to grow within the practice. A strong reference from a clinical supervisor gives you a meaningful edge.
Which companies hire entry level dentists?
Companies hiring entry level dentists right now include Aspen Dental, Familia Dental, and Coast Dental, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this level, hiring covers private dental practices, group practice organizations, community health centers, and dental service organizations that actively onboard new graduates into structured associate roles.
Are there remote entry level dentist jobs?
Yes, though most dentist roles require in-person patient care. About 0% of entry level dentist openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, typically covering positions in dental consulting, tele-dentistry platforms, or dental insurance review where hands-on clinical work is not required.
Are these new grad dentist jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior dentist roles. A posting is generally new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts supervised clinical rotations or externships toward that requirement, or lists a portfolio of procedures in lieu of independent practice history. Look for language like "associate dentist" or "mentorship provided" as strong signals.
Which industries hire the most entry level dentists?
Entry Level dentist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Non-Profit & Social Services, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this stage because they operate high patient volumes, maintain established mentorship structures, and consistently need associate-level dentists to support growing caseloads.
