Physical Therapist Jobs in Nashville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a physical therapist job in Nashville?
Nashville's strongest hiring comes from its dense cluster of hospital networks, outpatient orthopedic and sports rehab clinics, and long-term care facilities anchored in the Midtown Medical District and surrounding suburbs. Candidates with specialty certifications in orthopedics, sports, or neurological rehab stand out locally. Targeting the large employer-owned outpatient networks that operate multiple Nashville-area clinics is often the fastest path to landing a role.
Which companies hire physical therapists in Nashville?
Companies currently hiring physical therapists in Nashville include Results Physiotherapy, Rehab Employee Services, and TriStar Health, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nashville's market is shaped by large health system-affiliated outpatient networks alongside independently owned sports and orthopedic practices spread across the metro.
Are there remote physical therapist jobs in Nashville?
Yes, though remote opportunities are limited given that physical therapy is fundamentally a hands-on clinical role. About 4% of physical therapist openings tied to Nashville are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, mostly covering telehealth consultations and home exercise program oversight. In-person patient care remains the dominant format across Nashville's hospital and clinic settings.
How can I get a physical therapist job in Nashville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Nashville is securing a clinical rotation or per-diem aide role at one of the metro's large outpatient orthopedic or sports rehab groups, which frequently convert entry-level staff into full-time positions. New graduates who complete rotations at Vanderbilt Health-affiliated clinics or Nashville's skilled nursing facilities often have a direct line to permanent openings before finishing their DPT program.
Which industries hire the most physical therapists in Nashville?
Most physical therapist openings in Nashville sit in Healthcare & Medical Services, Agriculture & Farming, and Education, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nashville's status as a major healthcare industry hub, home to numerous hospital operators and outpatient care companies, drives concentrated and consistent demand for physical therapists across those sectors.
