Who's Hiring

Physical Therapy Technician Jobs in Portland: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a physical therapy technician job in Portland?
Portland's strongest hiring comes from outpatient orthopedic clinics, hospital-affiliated rehab departments, and sports medicine practices concentrated in the Pearl District, Lloyd District, and the Beaverton corridor. Candidates who stand out here typically have hands-on clinic experience, a current CPR certification, and familiarity with patient scheduling systems. Targeting multi-location clinic groups and the major health systems operating across inner Portland gives you the widest opening.
Which companies hire physical therapy technicians in Portland?
Employers hiring physical therapy technicians in Portland right now include Providence, Kaiser Permanente, and HiredFirst, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Portland's market is a mix of large hospital-affiliated rehab networks and independent outpatient practices, both of which hire technicians on a rolling basis.
Are there remote physical therapy technician jobs in Portland?
Yes, though remote work is uncommon for this role since most responsibilities involve direct patient support and equipment handling on-site. About 0% of physical therapy technician openings tied to Portland are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions tend to cover scheduling, administrative coordination, or telehealth support functions rather than hands-on clinical duties.
How can I get a physical therapy technician job in Portland with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Portland is applying for aide or rehab technician roles at outpatient orthopedic clinics and hospital rehab departments, which regularly hire candidates without prior tech experience and provide on-the-job training. Community college programs at Portland Community College offer short-term certifications that Portland clinic groups recognize. Volunteering at a local rehab facility before applying also converts quickly into a paid role in this market.
