Entry Level Power Platform Developer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level power platform developer job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for hands-on familiarity with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI over formal experience. Building a small portfolio of real automations or apps, earning a Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals certification, and showing comfort with Microsoft 365 and Dataverse will give you a clear edge. Internship experience or a capstone project that solves a real business problem also helps candidates stand out.
Which companies hire entry level power platform developers?
Companies hiring entry level power platform developers right now include LPA, Lpa, and Andworx, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a broad mix of employers, including large enterprises modernizing internal workflows, government contractors, consulting firms, and mid-size organizations rolling out Microsoft 365 across their teams.
Are there remote entry level power platform developer jobs?
Yes, though many entry level roles still prefer on-site or hybrid arrangements for early mentorship. About 22% of entry level power platform developer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates open to flexible settings have real options. Filtering by work setting when you search listings helps you find roles that match your situation.
Are these new grad power platform developer jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior power platform developer roles alongside other entry level postings. A new grad friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience and considers internships, coursework projects, or a portfolio in lieu of full-time work history. Look for language like 'no prior professional experience required' or 'internship experience considered' when scanning openings.
Which industries hire the most entry level power platform developers?
Entry Level power platform developer roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate, Technology & Software, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they are actively automating internal processes and building low-code solutions on the Microsoft stack, creating consistent demand for developers who can contribute quickly without years of specialized background.
