Entry Level User Experience UX Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level user experience ux job?
Build a portfolio that shows your design process from research through final mockups, even if the projects came from coursework, bootcamps, or self-initiated work. Employers hiring at the entry level want evidence you can apply UX methods, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and iterate on feedback. Internship experience strengthens your candidacy, but a well-documented case study portfolio can carry just as much weight.
Which companies hire entry level user experience uxs?
Companies hiring entry level user experience uxs right now include Avis Budget, Aflac, and Uline, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a broad range of employers, including technology firms, product-led startups, healthcare organizations, financial services companies, and agencies that staff UX talent across client projects.
Are there remote entry level user experience ux jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options are a real part of this market. About 38% of entry level user experience ux openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, which is worth factoring in if you want flexibility while building early career experience. On-site roles still make up a significant share, particularly at employers who prioritize in-person collaboration during onboarding.
Are these new grad user experience ux jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior user experience ux roles alongside other entry level openings. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or academic project work in place of full-time history, or explicitly invites candidates who can demonstrate skills through a portfolio rather than a long resume.
Which industries hire the most entry level user experience uxs?
Entry Level user experience ux roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Insurance, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they are actively building or scaling digital products and need junior UX talent who can support research, wireframing, usability testing, and iterative design work alongside more senior team members.
