- Support equipment specification, supplier selection, technical evaluations, RFQ development, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and production startup activities.
- Establish and maintain process windows for critical slurry quality characteristics, including viscosity, density, solids content, temperature, homogeneity, dispersion quality, and rheological behavior.
- Plan, execute, and analyze laboratory, pilot-scale, and production trials to support process development and manufacturing scale-up.
- Implement process control strategies, inline quality monitoring systems, contamination prevention measures, cleaning protocols, magnetic filtration systems, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Develop and maintain process documentation including process flow diagrams, work instructions, validation protocols, technical specifications, control plans, and PFMEA documentation.
- Analyze process performance data, identify root causes of process variation, and implement corrective actions to improve yield, throughput, OEE, and process capability.
- Collaborate closely with electrode manufacturing, coating, quality, production, maintenance, automation, EHS, and external equipment suppliers.
- Support continuous improvement activities focused on quality, efficiency, cost reduction, operational excellence, and manufacturing readiness.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, quality, cleanliness, and dry-room manufacturing requirements.

Process Engineer Jobs in Greenville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a process engineer job in Greenville?
Focus on Greenville's advanced manufacturing and automotive supply chain sectors, where demand for process engineers is strongest. Employers in the Donaldson Industrial corridor and along the Mauldin Road manufacturing belt hire regularly for continuous improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma expertise. Candidates who can demonstrate hands-on experience with production floor optimization and familiarity with ISO or IATF quality standards stand out in this market.
Which companies hire process engineers in Greenville?
Companies currently hiring process engineers in Greenville include Garver, GE Vernova, and EnerSys, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Greenville's employer base skews toward large-scale manufacturing operations, including automotive suppliers, specialty chemicals producers, and industrial equipment manufacturers with facilities in and around the metro.
Are there remote process engineer jobs in Greenville?
Yes, though process engineering is largely an on-site role because most of the work involves direct interaction with production equipment and manufacturing lines. About 0% of process engineer openings tied to Greenville are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with remote availability concentrated in documentation-heavy, validation, or process design roles rather than hands-on floor positions.
How can I get a process engineer job in Greenville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Greenville is through a process technician or manufacturing engineer associate role at one of the area's automotive suppliers or industrial manufacturers, many of which offer structured on-the-job training. Greenville Technical College's engineering technology programs have direct ties to local employers, and co-op or internship experience with a Mauldin or Simpsonville-area facility is a strong differentiator for candidates without full professional experience.
Which industries hire the most process engineers in Greenville?
The sectors hiring the most process engineers in Greenville are Consulting & Professional Services, Manufacturing, and Energy, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Greenville's position as a hub for BMW's North American supply chain and a cluster of specialty chemicals and plastics producers makes these sectors the primary drivers of local process engineering demand.
