Process Safety Management Jobs in Denver: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a process safety management job in Denver?
The strongest path into process safety management in Denver runs through the city's oil and gas operators, chemical manufacturers, and industrial facilities concentrated along Brighton Boulevard and the Denver Tech Center. Candidates with OSHA Process Safety Management expertise, PHA facilitation experience, or a background in mechanical or chemical engineering stand out. Targeting midsize energy companies and engineering contractors before the larger operators is a practical way to build local experience.
Which companies hire process safety managements in Denver?
Companies currently hiring process safety managements in Denver include Worley, Solid Power, and Fivetran, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Denver's mix of upstream energy operators, downstream chemical processors, and engineering services firms makes it a consistent market for this specialty year-round.
Are there remote process safety management jobs in Denver?
Yes, though remote work is limited for this role because most process safety management responsibilities require physical presence at industrial facilities. About 53% of process safety management openings tied to Denver are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid arrangements more common for roles focused on documentation, auditing, or regulatory compliance rather than hands-on hazard analysis.
How can I get a process safety management job in Denver with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Denver is through a junior EHS or safety technician role at one of the city's smaller industrial contractors or oilfield services companies, which hire with less experience than major operators. Pursuing a HAZWOPER certification or a Process Hazard Analysis credential while applying builds immediate credibility. Denver's active construction and utilities sectors also hire entry-level safety coordinators who can transition into process safety over time.
Which industries hire the most process safety managements in Denver?
Most process safety management openings in Denver sit in Consulting & Professional Services, Technology & Software, and Energy, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Denver's position as a regional hub for Rocky Mountain energy operations and its concentration of chemical distribution and processing facilities drives consistent demand across those sectors.
