This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.
The Boeing Company seeks an Front End Developer to support the Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) cyber test capability and join their team in Seattle, WA.
In addition to specific program responsibilities, the successful candidate will be joining the growing BT&E Product Security Engineering Capability. They will be joining a team of advanced Product Security Engineers from across the Boeing Enterprise, collaboratively developing best practices, techniques and tools, while fostering a community that enhances our ability to deliver exceptional value to our customers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop responsive, scalable front-end applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as React
- Build and maintain backend services/APIs with Node.js and Express.js to support front-end applications
- Integrate RESTful APIs and backend microservices
- Design reusable UI components and manage application state effectively
- Prototype quickly and adapt to evolving project requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for planning, roadmap feature mapping, and stakeholder alignment using tools like Figma
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and technical design reviews
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and source control management using Azure DevOps or GitLab
- Write and maintain technical documentation and testing scripts using Jest, Cypress, or Playwright
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5-9 years of professional front-end software development experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience with React and Node.js backend development
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with Express.js or similar Node.js frameworks
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control platforms (Azure DevOps, GitLab)
- Strong understanding of component-based architecture and state management
- Comfortable working independently in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exposure to cybersecurity, aerospace, or highly technical engineering environments
- Experience contributing to architecture discussions, UI standards, or front-end modernization initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Interest or experience in AI-enabled applications, chatbot interfaces, or analytics platforms

Pay Rate Range
