Entry Level Program Specialist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level program specialist job?
Entry level program specialist roles typically look for candidates who can demonstrate organizational skills, clear communication, and basic project coordination experience. Internships, volunteer program work, or campus leadership roles all strengthen an application at this stage. Tailoring your resume to show how you managed timelines, supported teams, or tracked program outcomes gives you a real edge over candidates with a generic application.
Which companies hire entry level program specialists?
Companies hiring entry level program specialists right now include L3Harris, LTM Limited, and Allina Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Government agencies, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and education institutions are among the most consistent employers at this level, since program coordination is a core function across all of those sectors.
Are there remote entry level program specialist jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles still make up the majority of openings at this level. About 11% of entry level program specialist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates with strong written communication and self-management skills have real flexibility in where they work when targeting these postings.
Are these new grad program specialist jobs?
Yes, many of these postings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome recent graduates with little to no professional experience. A new grad program specialist posting typically accepts candidates with zero to two years of experience and treats internships, academic projects, or a demonstrated portfolio of coordinated work as qualifying background, making them accessible to new graduates entering the field.
Which industries hire the most entry level program specialists?
Entry Level program specialist roles concentrate in Education, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Media & Entertainment, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors tend to run structured programs at scale, meaning they regularly bring in entry level coordinators and specialists to support delivery, track outcomes, and handle day-to-day program administration.
