Entry Level Human Resources Assistant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level human resources assistant job?
Entry level human resources assistant roles typically look for candidates with a degree in human resources, business, or psychology, though related coursework and internship experience carry real weight. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, onboarding processes, and basic employment law gives you a clear edge. Highlight any recruiting or administrative project work, even from a school or volunteer setting, to show you can handle core HR tasks from day one.
Which companies hire entry level human resources assistants?
Companies hiring entry level human resources assistants right now include Appalachian Regional Healthcare, Sodexo, and Fidelity Investments, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers a wide range of employers, from large corporations with structured HR training programs to mid-size organizations where a junior hire gains broad, hands-on experience quickly.
Are there remote entry level human resources assistant jobs?
Yes, though most entry level human resources assistant openings lean on-site or hybrid. About 18% of entry level human resources assistant openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with fully remote roles more common at companies that have distributed workforces and established virtual onboarding processes. Filtering by work setting lets you target the format that fits your situation.
Are these new grad human resources assistant jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior human resources assistant roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes 0 to 2 years of experience, accepts internships or practicum work in place of full-time history, or explicitly notes that a portfolio of HR projects is acceptable. If the job description lists preferred rather than required experience, that is another strong signal the employer is open to candidates just starting out.
Which industries hire the most entry level human resources assistants?
Entry level human resources assistant roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Technology & Software, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive volume hiring at the junior level because high employee turnover, seasonal workforce needs, and compliance requirements create steady demand for HR support staff who can assist with recruiting, records, and onboarding under close supervision.
