Entry Level Program Assistant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level program assistant job?
Focus on demonstrating organizational skills, communication ability, and comfort with coordination tasks, since those are what entry level program assistant employers actually evaluate. Internships, volunteer work managing projects, or campus program involvement can substitute for paid experience. Tailor your resume to highlight scheduling, data tracking, or administrative support you have handled, even in informal settings.
Which companies hire entry level program assistants?
Companies hiring entry level program assistants right now include May Institute, Advocates, and University of Utah, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nonprofits, government agencies, healthcare organizations, and educational institutions tend to hire heavily at this level, often prioritizing mission-aligned candidates with strong attention to detail.
Are there remote entry level program assistant jobs?
Yes, though most remote openings are hybrid rather than fully remote. About 8% of entry level program assistant openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who need flexibility should filter specifically for those arrangements when searching current listings.
Are these new grad program assistant jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad roles that welcome recent graduates, junior candidates, and career changers with little or no formal work history. A new grad-friendly posting typically notes zero to two years of experience required, accepts internships or volunteer work as qualifying experience, or explicitly invites candidates who bring a strong portfolio in place of a long resume.
Which industries hire the most entry level program assistants?
Entry Level program assistant roles concentrate in Education, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Government & Public Sector, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors rely on program support staff to coordinate logistics, track deliverables, and assist program managers, making them consistent sources of entry level openings throughout the year.
