Entry Level Receptionist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level receptionist job?
Focus on soft skills employers screen for at this stage: a professional phone manner, clear written communication, and comfort with scheduling or office software. Any customer-facing experience, such as retail, hospitality, or campus work, strengthens your application. Tailor your resume to each posting, highlight any front-desk or administrative internship work, and keep your voicemail and email professional before you apply.
Which companies hire entry level receptionists?
Companies hiring entry level receptionists right now include McLaren Health Care, ARK, and Vetcor, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Medical offices, property management firms, staffing agencies, and professional services companies tend to hire most actively at this level because front-desk roles turn over regularly and many are designed for candidates who are newer to the workforce.
Are there remote entry level receptionist jobs?
Yes, though most receptionist roles remain on-site. About 0% of entry level receptionist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with virtual front-desk and phone-coverage roles appearing most often in healthcare, insurance, and tech-enabled services. If you need flexibility, filtering for hybrid postings is the most realistic starting point at the entry level.
Are these new grad receptionist jobs?
Yes. These listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior receptionist roles that explicitly welcome candidates with little or no prior professional experience. A new-grad-friendly posting typically states zero to two years of experience required, accepts internship or volunteer work in lieu of full-time history, or notes that training is provided, making them well suited to candidates entering the workforce for the first time.
Which industries hire the most entry level receptionists?
Entry Level receptionist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Insurance, and Animal Care & Pet Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they maintain high-volume front-desk operations, rely on in-person client interactions, and regularly bring in junior staff who can be trained on internal systems and protocols from the ground up.
