Entry Level Programmer Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level programmer analyst job?
Employers hiring at this level look for candidates who can demonstrate hands-on coding ability, even without years on a resume. A portfolio of personal or academic projects, a completed internship, or a bootcamp certificate signals readiness. Focus on roles that list zero to two years of experience as a requirement, and tailor your resume to highlight relevant coursework, tools, and any real-world project outcomes.
Which companies hire entry level programmer analysts?
Companies hiring entry level programmer analysts right now include Citi, Jobot, and Jack Henry & Associates, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including large enterprises building out junior pipelines, mid-size technology firms, and consulting organizations that onboard and train new analysts directly.
Are there remote entry level programmer analyst jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles still make up a meaningful share of openings at this experience level. About 8% of entry level programmer analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who prefer flexibility have real options. Hybrid arrangements are common, particularly at larger employers who want new analysts in the office part of the week for onboarding and collaboration.
Are these new grad programmer analyst jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior programmer analyst roles. A posting is generally new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-op work toward the requirement, or accepts a strong portfolio in place of full-time history. If you graduated recently or are switching into the field, these are the roles to target first.
Which industries hire the most entry level programmer analysts?
Entry Level programmer analyst roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Education, and Banking & Financial Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive junior hiring because they run large application portfolios, maintain complex data systems, or are scaling engineering teams rapidly enough to bring on analysts who can grow into more senior responsibilities over time.
