How do I get a project accountant job in Los Angeles?
Focus your search on Los Angeles's construction, infrastructure, film and TV production, and commercial real estate sectors, which generate the highest volume of project accountant openings locally. Candidates with experience in job costing, draw management, or lender reporting have an edge, as do those familiar with construction accounting software like Sage 300 or Procore.

How can I get a project accountant job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is through staff accountant or accounts payable roles at a mid-size general contractor or real estate developer, where exposure to job costing and project reporting is built into day-to-day work. Large infrastructure and public works firms in the region also hire entry-level accounting coordinators who rotate through project finance functions.
