How do I get a project coordinator job in Memphis?
Target Memphis's strongest hiring sectors: healthcare systems, logistics and supply chain operations, and commercial construction. Jobs concentrate Downtown, in the Medical District, and along the Poplar Avenue corridor in East Memphis. Candidates who stand out typically hold a PMP or CAPM credential, have hands-on experience with project management software, and can point to completed projects in one of these local industries rather than generic coordination work.
Which companies hire project coordinators in Memphis?

Memphis's mix of major health systems, global logistics firms, and regional construction and infrastructure companies makes it a consistent market for project coordination roles at multiple experience levels.
Are there remote project coordinator jobs in Memphis?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role type. Project coordinator positions tied to on-site construction, healthcare operations, or warehouse logistics are almost always in-person, while roles in IT, consulting, and program administration tend to offer more flexibility. About 25% of project coordinator openings tied to Memphis are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common in corporate and technology-adjacent roles.
How can I get a project coordinator job in Memphis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Memphis is through administrative or operations assistant roles at the city's large healthcare employers or logistics companies, where internal mobility into coordinator positions is common. Entry-level openings also appear through Memphis-area construction firms and nonprofit organizations managing community development projects. Earning a CAPM certification and volunteering to coordinate any workplace or community initiative builds a credible starting point for local hiring managers.
