Entry Level Project Director Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level project director job?
Employers hiring at this level look for candidates who can demonstrate basic project coordination skills, familiarity with tools like Asana, Jira, or Microsoft Project, and the ability to manage timelines and communicate with stakeholders. Internship experience, a capstone project, or volunteer work coordinating a team all give you a concrete edge. Tailoring your resume to show ownership of any project, even a small one, signals readiness for the role.
Which companies hire entry level project directors?
Companies hiring entry level project directors right now include ATI Restoration, The People Concern, and AbelsonTaylor, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including startups building out their operations teams, mid-size firms growing their delivery functions, and large enterprises with structured associate or junior project management programs.
Are there remote entry level project director jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles still make up a significant share of openings at this level. About 0% of entry level project director openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who need location flexibility have real options. Filtering by work setting on Migrate Mate lets you see only the arrangements that fit your situation.
Are these new grad project director jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles that explicitly welcome candidates with little or no professional experience. A posting is new-grad friendly when it lists zero to two years of experience as sufficient, accepts internships or academic project work in place of full-time history, or mentions a portfolio as an alternative to a long resume. Searching for those signals in the job description helps you identify the right fits quickly.
