This role is ideal for a proactive professional who possesses a unique mix of product curiosity, technical aptitude, and strong collaborative skills. Sitting at the intersection of technology, digital services, and creative execution, you will help validate and review digital content to ensure that complex, software-enabled vehicle features (infotainment, ADAS, mobile apps) are represented with absolute technical accuracy and regulatory compliance across all marketing touchpoints.
Serving as a key product liaison, you will help align creative agency partners with engineering, product, and legal stakeholders. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, a passion for modern vehicle technology, and a collaborative approach to helping teams deliver accurate, high-quality consumer communications.
Major Responsibilities
Vehicle Technology & Product Support

- Actively build and maintain a working knowledge of vehicle technologies, digital ecosystems, and connected experiences (e.g., in-vehicle software, driver-assist systems, mobile apps, and UI displays).
- Assist in translating technical engineering specifications and software updates into clear information that creative agency partners can easily understand and apply to digital content.
- Support the organization, tracking, and maintenance of technology-related assets, metadata, and product documentation for cross-functional team use.
- Help test and implement AI tools designed to align product information, claims, and messaging consistency across various communication channels.
- Participate in technology demonstrations to help creative teams identify effective ways to communicate complex product and technology features to consumers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Alignment
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with agency partners, clients, engineers, and legal compliance teams to ensure product accuracy.
- Gather and share product updates, technology changes, and feature availability with internal and external teams.
- Communicate review feedback clearly and constructively, helping creative teams align their work with actual vehicle functionality.
- Assist in sharing compliance guidelines, product documentation, and technical best practices with creative partners.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in automotive product support, compliance review, digital content validation, technology communication, or a related hybrid field preferred.
- A strong interest in and ability to understand complex technologies, software-enabled features, and digital services.
- Passion for connected vehicles, consumer electronics, infotainment systems, or digital customer experiences.
- Exceptional proofreading and review skills; comfortable checking digital content against technical source documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Experience using digital proofing and collaboration tools (such as Ziflow, MS Office, and online asset databases) and a willingness to learn new systems.
- Experience working within creative agencies, automotive OEMs, or technology/software environments is preferred.
Preferred Characteristics
- You naturally double-check details and catch minor errors in text or imagery before they go live.
- You enjoy working with diverse teams and helping others get their work right.
- You are excited to dive deep into automotive technology and continuously learn about new features and digital innovations.
- You take pride in ensuring that consumer-facing information is accurate, honest, and high-quality.

Project Lead Jobs in Detroit: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a project lead job in Detroit?
Focus on Detroit's dominant hiring sectors: automotive technology and mobility, healthcare systems, and commercial construction and infrastructure. The city's major medical centers, legacy automakers and their tech spinoffs, and large general contractors all hire project leads regularly. Candidates who can show cross-functional coordination experience and familiarity with Detroit's manufacturing or healthcare operations culture tend to stand out in local interviews.
Which companies hire project leads in Detroit?
Companies currently hiring project leads in Detroit include Jobot, Burns & McDonnell, and F.H. Paschen, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Detroit's mix of large automotive and mobility firms, regional health systems, and construction companies means project lead demand comes from both Fortune 500 employers and mid-size local operators.
Are there remote project lead jobs in Detroit?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role type. Project leads in construction, manufacturing, and facilities management are almost always on-site, while those in IT, software delivery, and healthcare administration are far more likely to work remotely. About 30% of project lead openings tied to Detroit are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with technology and back-office operations roles making up the largest share of those flexible positions.
How can I get a project lead job in Detroit with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Detroit is moving up from a project coordinator or team lead role inside one of the city's large health systems or automotive suppliers, both of which promote from within regularly. Wayne State University's professional programs and Detroit's growing tech and mobility startups also offer entry points for candidates without traditional credentials. Demonstrating experience managing timelines or budgets on smaller initiatives, even in a different industry, carries weight with Detroit hiring managers.
Which industries hire the most project leads in Detroit?
The sectors hiring the most project leads in Detroit are Construction & Real Estate, Consulting & Professional Services, and Staffing & Recruiting, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Detroit's identity as a hub for automotive manufacturing, a growing healthcare corridor anchored in Midtown, and ongoing infrastructure investment across the city all sustain consistent project lead demand across those fields.
