This position reports to:
OGC Operations Manager & PMO
ABB’s Automation business area enables customers to operate some of the world’s largest and most complex industrial infrastructures, helping them outrun – leaner and cleaner.
We offer a broad range of automation, electrification and digital solutions for process, hybrid and maritime industries, including industry-specific integrated control and software as well as measurement and analytics solutions and services.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will lead the execution of medium-size projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, relevant cyber security regulations and standards, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid.
This role is contributing to the AUEN group in the US. Main stakeholders are Project Operations, Engineering, and Sales.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Leads the project team, establishes the project execution approach, and oversees project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources in order to accomplish all project goals.
- Active involvement in continuous improvement and simplification.
- Supports improving guidelines, tools, and templates, and supports local Sales and Tendering through early involvement in tenders.
- Monitors and controls project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Electrical, Automation, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Automation industry executing and/or managing complex Automation and/or Electrical projects.
- You are highly skilled in and you enjoy working with highly technical projects in the Oil and Gas, Chemical, Power and water industries.
- Possess an enhanced knowledge of / Highly adept in leading a diverse group of technical leads, including remote resources.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement across processes, tools, and operational guidelines to enhance efficiency and performance.
- PMP certification and SAP experience preferred.
